We spent the night in Byron Bay as we still had a few places to see and it was much quieter than our previous visit on the way up. On the way into town we stopped in at the Farm at Byron Bay which I really wanted to see. It was great, not only can you wander around the farm and look at the animals, see the veggie and flower garden or look at the shops you can enjoy some food and drinks at the Three Blue Ducks restaurant which is situated on the property. This is Gwen a Scottish highlander cow followed by some other animals living at the farm. That pig sure looks as happy as a pig in mud!
We found a campsite to pitch the swag on for the night really easily and then ventured into town to look at the shops and enjoy some lunch.
After checking out and enjoying some breakfast locally we took a walk along the beach.
About an hour south of Byron Bay was Lennox Head which had a great lookout and pristine white beaches.
We drove for the rest of the day besides a quick stop in Coffs Harbour for some lunch. The roads we really wet, plenty of bridges and roadworks to go through but we made it to Port Macquarie for the night. We will head to Sydney tomorrow. I can’t wait!
