Paradise Point // Gold Coast // Tamborine Mountain

We arrived in the Gold Coast on Saturday for Ken’s 60th birthday party which went off with a bang! It was a massive night with the majority of us struggling the next day. The apartment that we booked for a couple of nights was a massive winner with views from all directions. It was also the perfect spot to watch the AFL grand final and we were all glad the Bulldogs won.

On Monday we checked out of the apartment and headed to Marina Mirage for breakfast. I had the best blueberry pancakes ever and Clint was also very happy with his eggs benedict.

We then took a drive around Surfers Paradise (found another race track!) and then stopped in to Harbour Town for a bit of shopping.

Early afternoon we headed back to Paradise Point and moved in to Clint’s mum’s house which we will be staying in for the next week. It really is an incredible spot with water views from all directions. This really is luxury compared to our camping in the swag over the past couple of weeks.

This is what happens when I ask Clint to get in a photo under the pretty tree. He always makes me laugh!

Yesterday we just chilled out for most of the morning and then headed up to Tamborine Mountain late arvo to take in the view and see the waterfall and rainforest.

We headed back to Paradise Point and enjoyed a drink on the balcony taking in the sunset. You just can’t beat these colours.

As we are here for a number of days I will likely post up a second instalment for this location on the weekend.
