Today is the last day of August and I have no idea where the last 2 months have gone! Having been off work it has been the best thing to slow down and focus on the move and after not taking a serious break in the last 10 years I really have enjoyed every bit of it.
For those of you that know me through Rafiki Surgical Missions you know that packing containers was my speciality. I think we packed over 40 containers that went to Tanzania so I’m sure 1 container for us personally shouldn’t be too hard! I have become pretty good at tetris with the boxes so no doubt every inch of space will be used. I’ve also started preparing the detailed packing list and I feel like I never left work.
We have spent many weeks getting quotes from different companies and are almost ready to give the go ahead. We have decided to purchase a container as we need to weld a number of supports within the container to ensure our 2 cars and all of our furniture and tools arrive safely in Tasmania without too much movement. We wouldn’t want to damage Clint’s Holden Torana given the amount of work he has put into it.
After all, they are going over the Bass Strait on the Spirit of Tasmania so hopefully it isn’t too rough!
I have also cleaned and weeded to my hearts content at my rental property and handed over all the keys to the managing agent. It’s now in their hands going forward and fingers crossed the tenants that move in, in just a few days time treat the property well and I don’t have too much to worry about.
